DailyNine checks. Every pass, fail and blank stays visible.
This is the part of stock research the company cannot spin in a press release: cash flow, leverage, margins, share count and operating efficiency as they appeared in its SEC filing. A high score means those reported numbers improved. It does not mean the stock is cheap.

How the score is built
We read the filing, not an analyst summary. Every input comes from SEC EDGAR’s machine-readable XBRL facts. There is no estimates feed and no vendor score hiding between the company’s filing and this table.
The nine checks come from Piotroski. They ask whether profitability, balance-sheet pressure and operating efficiency improved from the same quarter a year ago. The original paper used annual accounts; this is the common quarterly adaptation, not a claim to reproduce the paper exactly.
A blank is not a failed test. If the filing does not support a check, you see a hollow dot. Below five available inputs we withhold the score entirely. The ranking is stricter at8 of 9, so sparse reporting cannot float to the top.
Comparing Q2 2026 againstQ2 2025. Refreshed daily; XBRL frames lag filings by several weeks, so the most recent quarter here is not the most recent quarter that has ended.
The nine signals, in column order
- 1Positive return on assets
- 2Positive operating cash flow
- 3Return on assets improving
- 4Cash flow exceeds accounting profit
- 5Long-term leverage falling
- 6Current ratio rising
- 7No share dilution
- 8Gross margin rising
- 9Asset turnover rising
Top 100 by F-Score
Ranked among 118 exchange-listed companies that reported at least 8 of the nine checks. A high score says the reported business improved on this narrow checklist. It says nothing about what price is sensible to pay.

Where this screen stops
- It does not know the price. A 9/9 business can still be a terrible stock at an extreme valuation. A 2/9 can be priced for disaster already. This table only measures changes in the accounts.
- The rear-view mirror has a delay. Quarterly figures are weeks or months old by the time the cross-company XBRL frames fill in. A fresh warning, lawsuit or takeover can be absent.
- Filers make tagging mistakes. We suppress the absurd scale errors we can detect, but XBRL is filed by thousands of companies and some bad tags will always look plausible enough to slip by.
- It is a shortlist, not an instruction. There is no buy, sell or hold label here. The screen does not know your portfolio, time horizon, taxes or ability to sit through a drawdown.
